Are they out yet? Haven't seen anything.
Me neither.. Vodafone NL PRIV.. Slow as ever
I got the update for my Priv and my Dtek 50 but nothing for the Dtek 60. All purchased from Shop.Blackberry
What build did you get on your Priv?
Nothing on my factory unlocked priv yet
I'm guessing he is confused as John from BlackBerry stated it's not ready for the Priv yet.
Boggles my mind that they'd release it for the DTEK50 and not the DTEK60
I guess I missed updating March. I thought I was getting April's update but looking closer it was March 5th. The DTEK 50 did get April 5th update.
Nothing here on an unlocked 60 but with O2sim
Nothing here. Unlocked shopbb dtek60
Hope this isn't a sign of what's to come--+or not come.
They're busy wrangling with the N OS update atm. I imaging there's an issue with N and the security update for April or vice versa.
I haven't received anything yet. Kinda surprised. Hope they at least announce why the delay is occurring.
Because the college intern in charge of pushing the button to release the update hasn't come back from spring break, yet.
Nothing yet for my DTEK60 on O2 in the UK.
Nothing here in western Pennsylvania
Figure it out BlackBerry.
Figure what out? Updates have been on point.
Really? Cause it's now April 14th and there's no April update.
Yep...April 14th and still no update on my 60 or my wife's 60 both purchased through shopblackberry.ca
So much for on time security updates.
Figure out... what there is to figure out.
Mainly if the shutting down of the hardware division, includes software for "legacy" Android devices. Already rumblings that Nougat might not make it to the PRIV, then Beta program ending and a sudden delay of monthly updates.... all at the same time.
I "expect" that right now it's all hands on deck with getting the software ready for the KEYones launch.... just need to figure that out.
Are we missing some huge feature right now that I'm not aware of? Security patches are nice, but a lot of androids don't even get those. Nougat should be right around the corner. The keyone is getting ready to be released. I wouldn't say BlackBerry is just sitting around on their hands. I want the update too, but it's not some make-or-break situation.
More apologists. One of their main marketing angle on the Android phones is timely security updates. That is the feature they are selling and they let this one slip way past other updates. It's a problem.
Before we get out the pitchforks and storm Waterloo, let's see if this is a blip or a new standard.
I understand, but we should all have a very high standard for BlackBerry as a security based software company. They themselves put so much emphasis on that. So for me, as a BlackBerry Android consumer, they are not meeting that standard right now. For some people they may have chosen a BlackBerry Android device over others specifically for the monthly updates. You can't compare it to other devices and use it as an excuse saying, "oh well we're lucky we even get these". No. I think we should all have a high standard for BlackBerry, and for me they're not meeting that standard right now. They need to live up to the image they claim to be. That's all.
