Simply wondering if there are any regrets from current DTEK60 owners after buying the phone. Any buyer's remorse? Or are you not satisfied with the device after having used it for awhile?

Certainly hoping for only positive feedback here, but let's see what we get. Sound off DTEK60 owners!!
I bought my dtek60 in October 2016 when it first came out. I was excited to finally have a replacement for my z30... I also had a passport which I like lot but I like typing on glass with the BlackBerry keyboard. But I have not liked the dtek60 that much. Too thin. Battery life poor. Camera to many pixels for its worth with low light not great. It was fast but has slowed down a lot. Worse the battery now tanks regularLy in 5 hours. To think that a year and a half ago I paid 600 euros for a phone that is now near worthless shows that depreciation is a real issue in this market. Even iPhones look better in terms of value. Their software gets updated for three years and they function well if my friends experience is any guide.

I am certain, most of you don't feel the same about this phone anymore. Disaster 60. Unfortunately.

Dtek60 wasn't bad but I think Priv was overall better phone IMO.

Just the fingerprint sensor alone as well as the usbc make me prefer the dtek60 over the priv. Never really use the kb really when push comes to shove.

I've had every BlackBerry android except the Motion, and I have to say pound for pound the dtek60 is my favorite.

I got my unit Nov 2016. Replacement to my Z10. Happy with the performance, battery life, camera, software updates compared to my Z10. However, battery life is the first to pump in my 1st disappointment after using the d60 for almost 11 months. Didn't realise that is the battery hardware fault am still thinking due to the security updates. Ended research with research, sent my unit the the service centre Brightstar in my country in Feb 2018. After a short diagnosis (less than 2days), Brightstar told me is the motherboard fault not battery. I was so surprised because my unit do not restart automatically, no lag no other symptom of screen failure. Only battery drain. and sometime a little hot after long surf. Took a bet. asked Brightstar not to replace the motherboard and only put me a new battery instead. Brightstar gave all sort of non responsible statement due to the treatment isn't as proposed.

As a conclusion, I am actually not regretting having my dtek60. I am trying to keep it alive instead. I found it is better than a sams*ng at least 😁

I've had the phone since day one and have no regrets, other than the fact that you really can't use the phone without a case as it's unbelievably slippery without one.

worked well until few months ago when the phone started heating up suddenly and showing extreme battery drainage. a part that the phone is wonderful.
what i didn't like of BlackBerry is the poor assistance when you need. basically no service center anywhere

I wonder how people react now that 2 years have passed? I loved mine, but now my battery life is abysmal, phone shutdowns at 50%, battery saver renders the phone unusable. such a shame, I really did think this phone was the ****! now I'm lucky if I can reach midday without a decent charge.

The only thing about the DTEK60 is the battery, having had the device for about 15 months the battery appears to be only 20% effective.

Bring it to a phone shop, or watch youtube on how to do it yourself if you feel brave.

Batteries can easily be found online.

I bought my Dtek60 in June of 2017. I really liked it till about 8 months later when the battery started to fail miserably.
I contacted BBMOBILE. At first they had me try all the usual troubleshooting, including factory reset. They thought it was because I kept wifi on all the time. (I have done that with every phone and never had that problem).
Finally I said I could no longer use the phone and was using my Dtek50!! Then they offered me either to repair my phone, or trade it for a refurbished one. I chose the refurbished one and couldn't be happier. I'm back to loving the Dtek60.
it's really a shame that the defective batteries soured so many people against the Dtek60. it is quite a good phone, and I haven't yet found anything I want to trade it for!
Thanks BBM for making good on my warranty.
