Odds would be no Android 7 for PRIV or DTEK.

Nobody really knows for sure. Doesn't make business sense for BlackBerry Original but when has that ever stopped them?? LMAO

Why wouldn't they release 7 for the Dtek60? It only 6 months old. It will come, probably in the summer just before android O launches lol 😁

A few months ago all the experts on Cb said that for sure the dtek60, PRIV and even the dtek50 would be getting nougat...

I hope for all the corporate folks who deployed the most secure fleet device available get nougat at the least..../s

They won't release it so you can get upset and buy a KEYone. Samsung and others do it all the time. buy the new phone if you want the new updates.

Probably just for the mains. Like thew Note 5, S7 and S7 Edge. I doubt all the others will get it like the A5 and Galaxy J's

Could it be that's what's in the "Galaxy A5, Galaxy J3, & More" section?

Okay. You win. Now what about the carriers actually pushing these updates. And not just withholding them.

I think it will be released but after a while to allow the Keyone to sell.

Well Samsung at least has the decency to provide 2 software updates before they force you to upgrade

I'd really like to see Nougat sooner than later. Moreover maybe that will get push notifications on it working with my SmartThings too.

I expect DTEKs to get it eventually. PRIV will probably be skipped. It won't be anytime soon because Nougat is currently an incentive to purchase the KEYone.

Nougat offers improved battery life and optimizations which the DTEK60 could do with.

I believe that it comes. The KEYone comes with factory Nougat. Why not for our DTEK60?

But I thought the dtek60 had good battery life...that's what everyone was saying in November when it launched.

I would be shocked if the DTEK 60 did not get the OS upgrade. Wife's unlocked S7 purchased directly from Samsung just recently received Nougat. I checked her phone to see if her security update was current and it was from April 2017. I guess it is a trade off to either have the most current OS or most current security patch.

The Keyone and the dtek60 probably don't even have a lot of customer overlap, so I doubt that would even be the reason why not... If you want full touchscreen you aren't going to buy a keyone

I was fascinated by the specs of the DTEK60. Now my wife has a key one and I will commit myself

My battery life is terrible. Worst phone I have owned so far. I feel like an iPhone user being plugged into the wall all the time.

I had terrible battery use. I did a full erase and stopped using the original charger it came with - US adapter, was made for international. bought the phone from Walmart.

Previously the battery was giving readings if 40-44•C and us now 10• cooler.

Still nowhere near the sot I get with Huawei though.
