Every once in a while I get the keyboard on the homescreen. I don't know how , it seems to stay on after I close an app that required some sort of text input.
Watching closely the news/reviews about the Keyone I tried to hold a key down to see if I can assign a shortcut . To my surprise it worked!
Now the million $ question : is it possible to activate the BB keyboard on the homescreen?

The same had occurred with my DTEK60. Thinking a bug perhaps?
What do you mean "bug" ? The fact that the keyboard shows up on the home screen?
Well I don't think so . As I already mentioned when I long pressed a key it gave me an option to assign a shortcut , which I did and it works.
Because of that I think it's more of an oversight . They might want to save this sort of features only for the Keyone . Given that it's already possible I 'm hoping that they will officially implement it as well .
On bb10 you could pull up BlackBerry keyboard anywhere with two fingers pull up from bottom of screen and remove BlackBerry keyboard with two fingers from top of keyboard downward

Try this on detek60 may work

Tried it , wont work. Android has the buttons at the bottom + the swipe shortcuts. This OS isn't much gestures oriented anyway.
