I have just upgraded from Z10 to DTek50
I found and am finding the whole Android experience a little daunting, but am catching on... the DTek50 strikes me as a "cheaper type" phone than the Z10 which I think was a hardy little thing, but it was time to go for a new phone, really, and when my Canadian Bell mobility account got hacked, they think from using wifi on the Z10 somewhere and picking a carrier I shouldn't have, I ended up with a lot of international texts on my account but not showing in my Hub -- strange -- so Bell, as I am a longtime customer, cancelled those charges and sent me a new DTek50,instead of a new SIM for Z10, and I am sadly bidding goodbye to my Z10 -- I would have liked to try the Passport but was unsure of the longevity of BB OS 10...
At first I didn't like it, I liked the more "dignified" businesslike design of the home screen and the way one could set it up under OS10, I sure wish Canadians had gone enthusiastically for OS10....
But, I am setting up the DTek Hub and so on, and compared to a Moto G I think it is from 2015 that I have seen, the DTek is a typical Android but does have the BlackBerry Hub to combine in one place one's texts, call history, and emails. I am not experienced enough with cell phones to know or appreciate more, but I like it, and I would like to see BlackBerry keep providing phones, I can't afford at the moment their more highly priced ones but I would like to have access to them.
