The 'alarms only' settings icon is unresponsive so unable to alter night settings adequately: how can I make it functional again ? Do I wait for next update ?

Push volume down button once. Hit End Now in lower right hand corner of the dropdown.

Alternatively, go to Options --> Do not disturb and check out any Automatic rules being set.

Try this - hit the volume down button until it's at the lowest level. Then keep hitting the volume down until it gets to alarms only. Then hit the volume up button until you're back at the volume you want. This should clear the issue.
