I'm in Canada. I checked for updates yesterday and got the same.

Does it really matter where one lives? I live in both Canada and the U.S. and since I got my phones have received updates at the same time as everyone else while in either Country.

Maybe a greater determining factor could be where the phone was purchased.

I don't really think there's a difference. I think you just get whatever updates you get when you get them. I purchased my phone on Shop BlackBerry. The only time my phone was updated 'on time' was September. And I just received the December Security patch yesterday. So geography obviously doesn't matter. Probably just luck of the draw.

Black Friday week. Updated to Oct update when it was first turned on, first week of November. Nothing else till now.

Wife's shop BlackBerry received Dec update this AM. My B&H device is still on October. BlackBerry as a software company needs to shore up this stuff and get back to what they were being praised for as an Android OEM. (Timely security updates) I hope Chen is lighting a fire under those responsible.

I bought my DTEK50 from Rogers as well. I asked around here and ultimately decided to reload the Android OS from Blackberry with the Blackberry Common autoloader version. Phone works the same as on the Rogers' build, and I just got the latest update today.

I would recommend you do that same, and not wait on hand and knee for Rogers to sign off on updates.

I just got the December update on the DTEK50 I bought at Staples. I got the November update exactly a month ago on December 13, so it looks like the 13th is my lucky day for getting late updates.

Have yet to receive an update notification. Need to manually check via Settings >About Phone>System Updates>Check for Updates.
