I got mine right on black Friday. When did you get yours? I'm wondering if they are releasing in small quantities for some reason. Maybe they weren't expecting to sell this many this fast and don't have the bandwidth to let all 3 phones get the updates at the same time? My first one, I got from shop bb, seemed to get fast updates. I sold it before black Friday hoping for a deal on the 60. It didn't work out so bought 2 more 50's from staples.

I got mine back around October 20th and I'm sure I got the October 05 update shortly after I fired it up. I've had nothing since then though.

There does seem to be a problem with the DTEK50 in particular though, more than other devices.

Does your carrier inform you of the update by notification or is it just a case of continually checking for the update .

This was factory unlocked from amazon...

So I guess BlackBerry isn't really giving too much priority to the 50

just curious, did you try taking your sim card out and try update? that can work sometimes.

I logged a ticket with Blackberry Tech support asking why I was on an old build (AAH108) with Oct 5th. security patch. I mean given all their "zero day patching" talk I thought 6 weeks overdue was a little much. I'm using an unlocked Shop Blackberry unit on Rogers in Ontario. They took my information and said they would get back to me in 24-48 hours ... Blackberry time.

I got the Nov update today but that's still not acceptable.

His words, not mine. Why should we buy a BlackBerry? One reason was as soon as Google makes the patch known, BlackBerry pushes it out. Same day.
