    Looking at photo properties (Can also be achieved on the phone with Google Photos) i noticed the images being taken with DTEK50 rear camera are only 8MP (3840x2160 and not the advertised 13MP .
    Front camera is showing 6MP (3264x1836 photos size)........
    Can anybody else confirm this and if so someone at blackberry better get fired.

    13MP should be well within 4128x3096 pixels.

    I noticed that...... I still think it's silly, Almost every device today is wide ratio not square i guess for printing purposes 4:3 is still the norm. I'm a little disappointing.

    4:3 is the gold standard for pictures. The sensors are mainly square and not wide. Therefore you will use the totality of pixels when you shoot in 4:3 while you are "cutting" pixels for any other format. This is the same on pretty much all mobile devices. Nothing to be disappointed with.
