    I don't know much about it but I believe it has to be installed by the user. So the victim would get a link to malware. You'd have to be stupid or unlucky to install it.

    Below is a link to a BBC article on it. Note that the human rights lawyer that brought it to the attention of the authorities received the spyware in links received in a text message.

    Also note, he did not click on the links.
