    Hi all,

My wife has a Dtek50 and it seems she's only able to receive email when she's within our Wi-Fi zone at home. I've looked at the settings but can't seem to figure it out. She's able to receive all other notifications, i.e. text, BBM etc., but not any email. For example, I sent her an email this morning while she was at work but did not receive it til she got home from work.

Any help would be great. Thanks

Does she have a data plan? Is data enabled on the phone? Can she browse the Internet when not connected to WiFi?

Maybe email is blocked from using data in the permissions

Yep, she has data and is able to do other things when the phone is not on Wifi.

Where is the 'permissions' so I can check it?

I don’t know... I don’t have an android. But typically it’s in settings.

I looked under Settings: Apps: BlackBerry Hub & Services, but I don't see anything there related to this issue.

Is sync interval set to "never" ? Find it in hub - three lines - settings - choose account - sync interval.

Is she able to force sync in hub when not on wifi?

I have the interval set a every 5 minutes.

The only thing that's impacted is her email. She'll get bombarded with email when she comes home when in Wifi range.

    Any other help??

Some people have had this problem with Exchange and Office 360 accounts. Does she have more than one email account?

What carriers are you with. perhaps the APN is wrong? Other data, other than email, meaning surf the web and pull youtube videos etc?

The carrier is Bell and she has a Gmail and Bell account for email.

Could it be a carrier issue?

Have you confirmed that she can send email when not on WiFi? If the problem is only that she can't receive email except on WiFi, the it must be an email Incoming Server account issue with Bell.

Well it seems like she can't send anything through without Wifi. We tested sending emails with Wifi being off and they didn't go through. She turned it on, and they went through easily.

    What now?

Go to the Hub: Settings: Accounts and check your GMail Incoming and Outgoing Server Settings (bottom of the page). Do they both end in "gmail.com" ?
