And now the bottle in a more close-up situation.
If you're able to bring a full bottle till her, you should be able to carry an empty bottle home, isn't it?

But hey, nothing compares to....

First of all: Thanks for the examples.
Next question: Does this Forum resample photos or are they 100% orig.?
To me as an ambitious photographer the quality looks rather poor. Even my Z10 produces crispier photos. Look at the chromatic aberrations in the bottle photo - the whites are washed out. If they could just update the image processing software this could be the perfect phone. I want every aspect of the DTEK50, but the camera has to be at least the same quality as the Z10's.
Another question: Could anybody show the low light capabilities of photos and videos? Is it possible to take photos in lower resolution to improve the quality?
Thanks :)

I haven't checked if you can find what you need in metadata.
Wow, these are quite horrible for a 2016 tech. The picture of the bottle, I am assuming it's a digital zoom, and not optical, or the person did a manual zoom (got closer to the bottle) but the lack of detail and purple fringing is beyond acceptable.
Still upside down. :D
I think it shows promise... And if a pic is that important there is always post shot editing.
I'm sure camera is not the most touted feature on the phone and I've worked with budget phones starting with a lower base than what is shared here. Point and shoot has it's place, but that should not be the only tool in your arsenal, IMHO.
I say that Blackberry partner up with Nikon or Canon, and really let that partnership go in to something innovative with the camera lenses and quality of pictures. Could be used for both Blackberry's Android and BB10 offerings (if BB10 might be an option to fall back on for the company).
I agree, a quality name in imaging would broaden the appeal of this device or future devices. Zeiss + Lumia = solid reputation and that certainly can be replicated.
wow, looks like they did a good camera for this one!

I would like to see pics taken indoors in low lighting conditons. Most phone cameras including the Z10 & Z30 takes decent outdoor photos so posting outdoor photos taken in sunny conditions doesn't tell us much although from what I've seen so far, even the outdoor pics doesn't look that great to me.

Wow, is this Squamish BC? I haven't been there in more than 15 years and I live in North Vancouver LOL - We must make a drive up there as it looks a lot different from when I was there last.
It looks like the photos are OKish, not great, but I guess good enough for quick snap shots from a phone in this price range.
Here are some pictures taken at some more difficult light-conditions:

And this one is taken with the front side camera (you're warned!):

That's not bad at all...
You have a strong light source coming in at an oblique angle and the colors seem true. Crisp enough focus over that distance.

Any manual adjustments or post shot processing? Or is this full auto straight from the phone?
This is the real deal. It' s just a grab and burst picture with no corrections or filters used, not even resized. That's not bad at all...

The pictures taken by the DTEK50 look good!
I am impressed!
Some really good looking photos!
Nice!
Now I really want to win one
(can't willingly buy a phone without a physical keyboard)
amazing picture quality for a relatively affordable phone
Following picture has been taken without using the zoom. This is the default setting of the phone.
The second picture is resized with Windows snipping tool (so no real optimizing software).

Now it is about time to upload pictures taken in the dark. Too bad that we finally have summer and a lot of sun :)
