I recently acquired the DTEK50 for use while exercising because my Q10 cannot run all the apps I desire and I am afraid of destroying my Priv, but for the life of me, I cannot find a simple way of dragging and dropping my music to my external memory card. Fortunately, I have found that I can use Google Drive to upload and then download my tunes. Am I missing something here? Many thanks in advance!

When you plug you phone into your PC's USB connection... do you get any notifications? Something like USB Charging - tap for more options?

Yes, I do. There is a function for transferring files, but it merely sees my device, not the internal or external cards. For pics, which I am not looking to transfer, it does see the internal card. I was figuring, like every other Berry I have ever owned, that I would see the external card, be able to explore to the appropriate folder, then drag and drop.

Ah, nevermind! I have figured it out now. Apparently, I just needed to click on the prompt near the notifications for Windows 10 to tell my computer what to do. So, I guess user error on my part. I do feel the fool, but for those that wonder: yes, there is a mass storage mode for the DTEK50.

Further to your discovery: the same does NOT apply to Mac users. DTEK50 users will find that neither internal nor SD card memory mounts as disks on the Desktop as they did (in BB10's USB Mass Storage Mode). One must use Android File Transfer.

Although I have slowly adapted to Android, I still feel BBOS and BB10 are much more intuitive.

Totally agree with you. I'm very much missing WiFi access to the SD card from BB10 to transfer music and photos. It was so easy to mount a network drive in Windows to the ten BB10 devices in the household after I assigned them IP addresses at the router. Plugging in to USB is not a big deal, but WiFi file transfer was very convenient.
