Why not just dab it with a red Sharpie and presto - Red Notification Light homemade!

Not gonna matter; the DTEK50 simply is not speed with an RGB front notification LED.

Not really a good idea, unless you want to take photos with a red tinted flash. The DTEK notification LED and the front camera flash LED are one and the same.

Tried this; the screen is too oleophobic and won't hold the ink!

Yeah I see that now I received mine. I'll still try it! Never use the front facing flash anyways.

Maybe somebody could try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nker.pro&hl=en

It should be possible to change the "blink rate" of the white LED and there is an option for devices without LED and a "Screen LED". I'm interestet to know how long the accu lasts when using Screen LED notification. Maybe someone could try this app too: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...d.notify&hl=en
    or
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ock.demo&hl=en

    Thank you!

The thing about that though is that with rgb if I have a whatsapp I get a green flash, pink for bbm yellow for sms blue for facebook and white for an email, now, I can come back to the phone and see a pink followed by a green followed by a blue flash or various different ways depending on what's there, if this white light was set to different patterns of flash it would be going mental and pretty hard to distinguish what is going on if there were messages from multiple accounts.

... I understand it's not that easy. Maybe it's better to have just the information about the last incoming call/text or something.
