For Z10s, is the DTEK app built into BB10 OS already? Just wondering if I need to find a security app from BlackBerry World or Amazon app store that does the same thing?

No, DTEK is unique to BlackBerry devices running Android. You do not need a security app on BlackBerry 10.

Z10 seems so long ago for me. Always having to do battery pulls. I was glad to move to the Passport. If the run time was upgraded I would have stayed with it. Moving to Priv and being able to load all the apps soon made me forget the BB10 things I was missing. The DTEK50 is a great phone for the price. You will be happy moving on

The Z10 has been released over 3 years ago on hardware that's well over 4 years old. It's quite remarkable that they've supported that OS on the Z10 for as long as they have, not to mention it's still a pretty fast experience overall.

As a second or backup unit it'll get the job done but I wouldn't recommend the Z10 as a primary device for anyone at this point due to the aged hardware.

The DTEK50 is a worthwhile upgrade that's for sure.

I still have my 3 year old Z10, that I use daily for work. I use it for calls and email only it's great still. I have had the Z30 for a while as my personal phone, just got the DTEX50. It's an OK phone, I guess. Lol. I'll get used to it.
ATT gave me the new Sim card free, worst thing is it deactivated the old card. So no more using the Z30 daily. I will use it at home on WiFi. It's great for file management, I'll miss that . It's great for WiFi printing too.

How did you manage to set up wifi printing? I'm still struggling with that.

I use the free Printhand app. It's pretty easy with that one. Good luck

    Greetings,
Could someone migrating from z10 to the DTEK50 talk about the battery and display please?

How does the DTEK50 display compares to the z10 under sunlight conditions?

How does the DTEK50 battery compares to the z10?

I think the battery life is pretty comparable. DTEK50 is probably a little stronger there. Display isn't close. I thought my Z10 had a great display, but DTEK50 display is really quite something IMO.

Thanks for that, I was wondering same thing. Reinforces my decision to buy DTEK50.

I'm a hard core BlackBerry person, I go all the way back to the 7105.. I love the z10, but realized it was time to move on.. My dtek arrives later this week for a 30-day test drive.

BB10 is inherently more secure than Android so no DTEK. DTEK is for Blackberry Android.

I don't think so. The DTEK app may be for Android powered Blackberries only.
