    Hi,

whenever I use my DTEK50 for navigation after about an hour or so I find it gets really hot, and the radio has shut off. I use downloaded maps so I can still navigate, but I can no longer make or receive calls or anything until I reboot. Is there a solution to this? Would a different app than Google maps help? Or should I just buy a proper GPS?

    Thanks.

Try Waze. The last Google Maps update has been mehhh for me as well. It happens every now and then, just be on the lookout for the next update and see if it improves.

I use Navmii. Offline navigation so your not burning data.

Edit: forgot Google Maps has offline maps now. I still prefer Navmii.
