Hello,

I am about to click into the DTEK50 next month, however i am a little concerned about battery life. Can someone share their experiences?

Expected similarly battery life as the Z30. They have almost identical watt-hour ratings. Better life in the DTEK 50 if you run lots of Android apps.

I took my phone from the charge on 5-9 at 22:00hrs (Netherlands) and at this moment (7-9 at 17:23 hrs) I have 48% left.
I'm a light (extreme light) user and have had 1 hours, 50 minutes and 30 seconds screentime till now.

I've had good battery life but in bad signal area my phone chewed through the battery like nothing..

in good or decent signal areas battery life is sufficient for a full day

OMG seems like the battery is horrendous, why did I order this crap?

It's not bad at all. It's gets me through my 8 hours workday. And have 3-4 hours left of usage after. My only thing about the phone is why doesn't it support quick change 3.0. Does anyone know if Blackberry can switch the 3.0 quick charge on with an update like htc did with there A9. The both have qualcomm 617

Just want to tell you what happened to me between last night and this morning re: battery life. Last night I charged my 50 after some heavy use and took it off charge around 7pm. Put down the phone to use my tablet and completely forgot about the phone being on. Go to bed and wake up the next morning around 7am. Pick up the phone and realized it was on the whole night and in the 12 hours it was on it had lost just 4% battery! - 96% charge left. True story. My Dtek50 battery is just fine TYVM.

In my experience it really varies. Days like today I am still on 40% after a long working day. Sometimes the battery is down really fast. Especially in low signal areas it really takes a hit. Coming from the Passport I really had to get used to stressing about battery life again

Agreed. Depends on how u use it. As long as he gets me through my 8 hours work day I'm good

I have bad battery issues. Using phones the battery is fast running out. Don't know why. Some apps are closed.

Try the BlackBerry blogs. There's a good article there about battery saving on the PRIV, Dtek50, and DTEK60.
