Firstly I apologize if this question was already asked, but I did not find a clear answer.

I have a DTEK50 purchased through a carrier in Canada and unlocked. If I reload the factory image from blackberry will it provide the security updates from blackberry directly going forward?

    I hope that was clear.
    Thanks,
    Anil

It doesn't change update policy, so you won't change from a carrier schedule to BlackBerry's schedule (not that they're much different in Canada).

Are you absolutely positively sure you have the correct bootloader for the Dtek50? The results you are telling are very strange.

Maybe someone like thurask can help me here but are the Android autoloaders for the BlackBerry phones readily available from BlackBerry? I would assume the links provided on Crackberry would link back to BlackBerry?

I've never done the Autoloader thing yet on my DTEK50 so I guess my thoughts are kind of questions also?

If it were me I would always try to go to the source first.

There definitely seems to be a problem with the Autoloader that the OP is using.

If it's from the first post (which it is) then it's directly from BlackBerry.
