[INFO]Don't get burned by Factory Reset Protection, read this before installing!!!

Using Factory Reset Protection (FRP) on the BlackBerry device powered by Android[/INFO]

Don't install an older OS on top of a newer one, you have a very high chance of bricking your phone. If you need an autoloader newer than what's here, you'd have to contact BlackBerry support.

BB Knowledge Base article: How to reload the BlackBerry powered by Android OS on the smartphone

BlackBerry have released autoloaders for the DTEK50; factory images, plus a fastboot executable and the necessary .bat/.sh files to load the images. If your device gets bricked, or if your update schedule is thrown off, or whatever.

Instructions are in the Knowledge Base article above, if you need them. Be warned, it will wipe your stuff.

    Available autoloaders on BlackBerry's site:

    MARSHMALLOW
    EVERYONE
    AAL135 (May 2017 update)

    BB's list

Mirrors and old autoloaders: http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...rchive-943672/ (the DTEK50 folder)

For the newb whats the point of this? To prevent or restore if someone enters the password incorrectly 10 times and wipes the phone or does this offer more features?

Revive a bricked phone + controllable updates + facility to wipe and start fresh.

Curious (and yes, ignorant), when (if?) this software materializes, would it be something eventually avail by autoloader? Thanks

I hope this phone gets Android Nougat quickly. Did BlackBerry committed with any timeframe?

    Cheers

Six weeks ago, they said 4-6 months to produce a BlackBerry-hardened Nougat where security will be on par with BB10.

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but I come across this site Android Nougat 7.0 Update For BlackBerry DTEK50 ? Android Nougats. It gives some steps to update to Android Nougat. I'm not sure if this is legit or not, but I would like to know your thoughts on this.

You can post links, there's no rules against that. I wouldn't trust that site, though. It doesn't say who developed the custom rom. It doesn't mention the bugs. I would trust a proper XDA thread. And even if something like that exists I believe it would be full of bugs. But I can be wrong, of course.

It's hoax , scam site avoid it... you can't get in to recovery mode on your DTEK50 without using BlackBerry signed autoloader
