Ok...DTek60 is 18 months old, bought new.

Upon start up and not all the time, it will boot up normally and when done all I have is the top line showing provider (koodo), in the upper left corner and to the right WiFi icon, batt % and time.

NOTHING else. BLACK screen

Anyone hae this same issue????

Hard one to pin down. Could be an app hanging up on startup or something else entirely. I'd try a factory reset and slowly add apps back and see if it happens.

Thanx Blaze. hmmm... Ive been looking at apps and have deleted a few. Leery of total reset. Since going Android not at all certain of how to back up contacts etc.

Now When I boot, I get same Black Screen and after a while the PIN Screen comes up..I enter my PIN and get a message:

"Process syestem isnt responding - Do you want to close it.?" Yes or Wait.
And neither of those Yes/Wait buttons work.
Damn thing is for all intents and purposes bricked.
Ive ordered a Motion and still have my trusty Z30.

But not pleased with a $650 unit that calves on its own after 15 mo. for no apparent reason.

You should have no problem backing up your device and settings with Google Drive and then performing a reset. I'll bet anything it is a crappy app. My son used to use our DTEK and loan and unload game after game. On powering on and off it would hang for 10 minutes or more noting optimizing apps. When I took the phone back over I did not do a factory reset. Only pared down all non system apps and then added back in the others I usually use. I did a couple long press power resets and have had zero issues since.

Have you tried removing SD card and/or SIM? Long shot, but may help.
