    For the past three days the charging rate has become very poor .took about three hours for full charge from 1%.

    The battery also drains quickly within few hours even if its just texting and calling usage .

    Any temporary solution before I buy a new Motion .

    Some initial thoughts..

    Might be battery calibration problem . If it was me I would do a factory reset to see if it fixed the charging/discharge issue.

    Faulty charging cable. Try swapping out charging cables.

    Faulty charging port. Could be outta luck here since the phone is out of warranty. Try and get it fixed if you wanna save some money or get that Motion.
