Jumping ship as soon as it comes out in november over here in the UK, I love my 8900 but my trackball keeps getting stuck and I miss having 3G esp as Tmobile UK do not support EDGE so I'm stuck with GPRS when I'm not around wifi.

I love my 8900, but that's the plan Stan. When the 9700 comes out, I'm out like the fat kid in dodgeball!

Just tried the trackpad on the 8520, it is working very good. Is ur trackball also getting stuck from times to times (once every two weeks( i could imagine this would be a solid reason in addition to the 3G

Yeah, but just because the form factor and build quality look better... Don't really need 3g, would like to try the bold/tour style keyboard as I've only had curves 8320 and 8900 to try...

I actually wouldn't mind getting the 9700... I just need to wait until I'm able to do an upgrade within the next year and a half... But if it was worth getting, then I would sell my iphone to get the 9700 and keep my 8900 at the same time hehe...

My first device was a bold, while the 3G are faster for browsing, and the keyboard is comfortable, iand don't forget that awesome sounding speaker, but there is one major problem that made me to change the bold to 8900.
The Battery life! When I'm on 3G, it will only last for about 6 hour or so, turn of the 3G? Then what the use of using Bold?

Now comes the onyx, comes With 3G, Bigger resolution screen compared to Bold, maybe even faster proccesor compared to bold, but the battery is the same???
    What the ****!!!

There's no way ill trade my 8900 for it!

I voted yes but I'd have to agree with some of the other posts here about pricing issues. I also have a question, Is it possible to renew your contract to get the discount price on a new phone? My carrier is t-mobile. Thanks in advance.

I just got the 8900 over the weekend but I'll be getting the 9700 as soon as it's released. My issue is using my upgrade for the 9700 and the rumor of being locked into not only the phone plan but also the data plan for 2yrs.

I would consider it if it has the option to disable/enable 3G. I don't want the 3G to eat up my battery when I'm not using it. Looks sexy from the leaked images though.
