For T-mobile. My curve is having some awful problems.
Yes T-Mobile carries the 9700. What problems are you having with your 8900? Any 3rd party apps?
Doubtful... that is an upgraded device... if you are having issues they will replace it with the same device... and if you continue to have problems they will eventually downgrade you to the closest device, which is the 8520... at least that is what has happened to others on T-Mobile a short time ago... but it was only when they were asking for a 4th or 5th replacement device.
The trackball is really screwing up. No 3rd party apps. Can Blackberry replace the device?
If you bought your device from T-Mobile you have to call T-Mobile about a replacement... if it's still under warranty, which it should be less than a year old.
The 9700 is $200 on contract from T-Mobile. You could probably still sell your phone for around $150 - spring an extra $50 and buy yourself a new phone!
You can call T-Mobile to replace your phone since it's still under the 1 year manufacture warranty. If you're asking if they will give you the 9700 as a replacement because you are having many problems with your curve the answer would most likely be no.

Will they give me a new one even if I'm on prepaid?
