I need your opinions on this possible transaction. A guy on craigslist said he would swap me his 1 week old Curve 8900 for my unlocked 2g 8gb iPhone AND $150. Is this a fair transaction? My iphone is in pristene condition as I put it in an Incase as soon as I bought it. It this isnt fair what would be a fair number? Thanks for your input.

BTW: I've had 3 blackberries before the Dark Side of Apple lured me over.

If the 8900 is ok, without any defects, then yeah, I would think so. I sold my 3g 16gb after getting a 8900 and I haven't missed the iphone yet.

If the 8900 has something wrong with it that he's not telling you about, (which happens ALOT on craigslist!) then definately be wary, but if it's a perfectly good 8900 and this guy just really feels the need to get rid of an amazing phone then he very well might be the emperor himself of the iphone dark side! you might do yourself well to join with him.....

I would do it as well. I had an iPhone once upon a time, and I don't miss it at all except for the browser (sometimes) and I do miss the size of the screen.

The screen size will probably be missed by me as well. I watch YouTube during the boring times.

ha ha. The dark side is fun. It's not as mystical and organized as the blackberry Jedi order.

I think it is a really good deal for you, as long as there is nothing wrong with the phone. Be careful and good luck!

Thats a sweet deal too. Is it MINT?

Not really MINT. His wife threw away the battery door. He put a cover on it and it didn't fit with the battery door. He put it in the bag and she tossed it on accident. Other than that its MINT. I ordered a battery door off ebay for $15. I love this phone. No more iPhone for me. No regrets.

I've worked with Craigslist quite often, and it seems about a mutually even trade, since it is a newly released phone...people are trading 3g 16gb iphones for the 8900....so compare that way...would u trade a 2g 8gb iphone + $150 cash for the 3g 16gb??? if so, then accept the deal.

Agreed, as long as the 8900 is in A1 condition you're on to a winner.
