hey there, i havent had my blackberry curve too long but as of yesterday it wont alert me to text messages anymore. i had set it to chime and vibrate before, which it did. but now the only indicatior i have is the little red light. iv checked all the obvious thing in settings but nothing works now

please someone tell me how to fix this, its pretty pointless if you dont know when you have a message!

Try pulling your battery out and putting it back in. Maybe a reboot will help

Make sure you're phone is in 'Normal' profile. If it is, try a battery pull.

If the battery pull does not work, your firewall may be turned on. Go to options->security options->firewall-> un-check SMS
