Well you can use your phone as a mass storage device to transfer files and have acess to the files on your phone such as media on the pc. You cannot access the files on your memory card when in usb mass storage mode. So your ringtones aren't going to ring. You should if you want to keep your information up to date. Like pictures and movies. Its all good mine is set to always enter mass storage.

Mass Storage is JUST accessing your memory card in the BB. so basicaly your using your BB as a flash drive.

does it matter? its up to you. i personally think its easier to add music, just drag and drop.
