Other than the addition of wifi n (which most know nothing about) and the ability to run BlackBerry 6 when it drops. What's the difference? The 93XX has a chrome bezel...

Does that really make the 8530 horrid compared to the 93XX?

I really am not excited at all for it.... I would get the 9650, verizon's best phone and you still get the os 6 so win, win.

Well, I really wanted the 8330 the most, but oh well. I guess I'll wait until December or January when the 9330 comes out. The 9330 has dedicated music keys !

Battery life and overall feel (According to CNET)

Sorry to burst your bubble but it's the same as the 85XX in those two categories.

Battery life is always less on CDMA phones compared to GSM ones. So if you want to compare battery life between the 85XX and the 9300 you should be looking at the 8520's battery life to the 9300's. I would assume, not entirely sure, that the 85XX has the exact same battery as the 93XX. So it's going to be the same unless you really think software is going to make that big of a deal. I sure don't think it will if CNET claimed battery life is horrid, a little better than horrid is still bad.

The 85XX and the 9300 are the exact same size and weight, so if you think adding a shiny bezel will give a better overall feel then have fun.

Go take a look for yourself BlackBerry - Compare BlackBerry Smartphones and PDAs at BlackBerry.com

The dedicated music keys are a joke.... other than the pause/play button, it is just a skip forward and back. You can do that with the volume keys on the side of any blackberry phone anyways just by holding it down. If those dumb media keys are your selling point I think you need to reconsider.

OS/6 and the webkit browser alone is enough to choose the 9300 over the 85xx series. OS/6 is the RIM's operating system of the future. Why get stuck in the past if you don't have to?

I agree but the OP never mentions that. They say that the selling point for them is because the 8530 has bad battery life and not a good "overall feel" I just pointed out that the 93XX is the same in those areas.
