Ok, I know that "Boost" Mobile has the 5.0 os on their version of their 8330, and yes I know Boost is technically under sprint, but what I dont understand is why sprint hasnt taken the time to upgrade the os on their 8330!

Its not like we can just go out and purchase new phones @ retail when they decide to neglect the older models. But im not crying about it, would just love to know why.

Doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. A prepaid phone is running better and more upto date software than my contract phone! Go Figure!

And if this has already been posted some where else in this forum, im sorry.

8330 has reached EOL on Sprint. It has limited capability with a 5.0 OS due to memory limitations, and why would they continue to squander assets supporting a device they no longer carry? There are some 5.0 OSes for it, and that should suffice for now. The 69 Camaro was a great car, but Chevy dealers don't support it any more, either.

Aaaahhhhh, '69 Camaro. Well Blackberry like the Camaro have gotten better. That new Camaro has an @$$ of a late '60s one. That car is hot let me go grab my jean jacket, dust off my Judas Priest t-shirt, load my iPod with classic rock & drive for days.

Actually, it already came out. Go on BlackBerry.com, click software on the top, and the click on device software on the left side. The 5.0 OS software is in fact compatible with the curve 8330. If you download tell me how it is and whats the difference.

Is there a listing of what providers support the upgrade?

Not that I know of, but if your willing just backup your phone. If I'm not mistaken one of my friends did it with a Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330 and it worked.
