I just got my curve last week and have been using it like crazy. I can tell that the trackball is already getting dirty. What is the best and safest way to clean it?

I believe there are ways to take the trackball out (I personally wouldn't try this as I'm a wimp and would be scared to death of breaking my BB) and that is in the FAQ forum I think.

Personally I think I'll clean mine by getting a wet wipe and then just rolling the trackball around, won't get it perfect but clean enough. I say this because the trackball seems exactly like the little ball in the Apple Mighty Mouse... and that's how they advise cleaning it.

Alcohol works for me. Just put some on a lint free cloth and roll that sucka around.

Rubbing alcohol by the way.

Compressed or canned air will help too.

I usually take mine out, but using a case or pouch, is usually a good way to prevent it.

This is what I used to "clean " my trackball..
BlackBerry 81xx/83xx/88xx OEM trackball- SonyEricsson, 3G, Samsung, Dopod/O2, Accessories Store, HTC, LG, Sony, Panasonic

I haven't tried it yet, (my trackball is still clean) but I was thinking of using a bit of blutrac or a baby wipe.
