Whenever switch on my BB or if I do a battery pull and switch it on my BB 8300 I get the following error message on the Curve:

    "Uncaught exception: java.lang.illegalStateException"

Can anyone tell me what this means and if I can do anything to prevent it in future?

    Thanks

    Tyrone

I found this looking for your question...

Found this solution in another thread and it worked like a champ.

    1. Go to Options > Security Options > General Settings
    2. Set Content Protection to Disabled
    3. Reboot the Blackberry

After doing this the startup error "uncaught exception: java.lang.illegalstateexception" went away, and the browsers work again. The WAP Browser icon also showed up again.

here is the site i found it Uncaught Exception - PinStack.com - Smartphone Professionals Alliance

Read the site before you do it. I dont know much, but this is what I found
