I am paying 20 a month with 02 on an 18 month contract
I got the phone free and am getting:
600 mins
1000 texts
Unlimited data
I got this because I was upgrading and went through to 'retentions'
I told them I was not ahppy having to go on to an 18 mont contract
She sweetened the deal by offering me the tariff above
Normally the above would be 35 a month
My only gripe is that I have now discovered that I don't have BES so cannot get my work email on the blackberry
I pay about $58/month and get the following:
400 Daytime minutes, evening & weekends starting at 6
Rogers to Rogers calling
10000 Texts, 10000 Picture Messages and 500 MB of data
Voicemail, caller id.
Don't want to pay more than $250 for it, so looks like I'll be keeping my 8320 for a few more months until the price goes down a bit. Maybe I can find a good deal on eBay? I bought my Curve in May '08 so I'm not due for an upgrade yet
I'm sad because I really want the 8900. I love the improvements!
good luck on that price guy
I got mine from Negri Electronics as soon as they dropped... was six hundred an some U.S.
Just checked Tmobile's site and it looks like I'll be paying $200 plus resigning for an additional 2 years. I don't have a problem with that because I like the plan I have with tmobile.
We get a little more generous plans over here. But you all do get a better deal overall.
Example:
T-Mobile
$40 300 anytime minutes, unlimited calls from 9pm to 7am, unlimited calls Sat/Sunday, unlimited calls to any 5 numbers of our choice.
$20 unlimited BIS data, tethering.
$10 1000 SMS/MMS
T-Mobile
$40 600 anytime minutes, free calls to all T-Mobile customers, unlimited use Sat/Sunday, 500 SMS.
$20 unlimited BIS data, tethering.
On top of that, it is very easy to get a 10% monthly discount with T-Mobile.
And the Blackberry 8900 will be $200 up front, with a 24 month contract.
You get tethering, we don't. When I rang O2 they advised against it due to the high cost and their fair usage policy! I would only be using it once a month for about 2-3 hours if that. I'm going for a PAYG mobile broadband now.
I paid $430 stretched out over 3 months so I only pay a fraction of the price of the phone for 3months. Thank u Tmobile for payment plans on smartphones!
The Walmart site says FREE with a new 2 year contract and a $250 Let's Talk discount...I put one in my cart but when I got to the plan screen it only let me choose either email/data or voice minutes. So I just ordered an email plan and went to checkout to see what happened. Sure 'nuf it showed $0, zero!!! I'm still skeptical. I'll be watching to see if somebody goes and gets one.
Just paid $429 after $70 credit from tmobile. $310 + tax and shipping will be on 1st bill the remaining $120 will be split up over 3 months. Oh well at least I'm getting it.

I was due for a "full upgrade", so I paid $349 + taxes + $19.99 for expedited shipping. I will also have a $100 mail-in rebate. This is for a 1-year contract resign...I figure in a year, there will be some other hot new Blackberry that I will want!
525 shipped unlocked from SN Traders. No logos either.
I ordered from SN Traders also. They have unlocked Rogers branded 8900s. The Rogers logo is displayed in the splash screen when you restart the phone and also in the camera assembly on the back of the phone.
Looks like it's the price for all of us buying from T-Mo with the 2 year extension and $70 discount. $330.30 up front then 90 something in 1/3 installments over the next 3 months. $372.94 after taxes and express delivery. Basically 71 dollars off full price to extend to 2 years - no big deal since I already had a year and a half to do. They would have billed, but I went ahead and paid now to just get it over with. It will be a long weekend!
I ended up paying $549.99 + $25.00 shipping through Overseas Electronics...
It's the T-Mo Germany version w/the QWERTZ keyboard, but I'm pretty stoked about it. Just arrived today via UPS. I think I'm a bigger fan of the darker battery door; from the pictures I've seen of the T-Mo U.S. version, it looks like that one has a lighter-colored battery door.
Did a 1-yr contract extension with T-Mobile US. Upfront (before the $100 MIR), I paid $349 for the phone, $30 NY state sales tax and $20 for expedited shipping. Came out to $400, so $300 after rebates.
i ordered it up today, and it was gonna be $499 but with the $70 discount i got, it was $425. Cant wait for it to arrive 1st time BB user, so hope experience it pleasant!
Just put in my order about a half hour ago. Partial discount so my came up to 433 + tax= around 460ish. Also got the extended payment plan with free shipping. Expecting some time next week
