My blackberry curve 8320 was working fine and suddenly I awoke to see a screen with a picture of a battery with a line through it. I pulled out the battery for several minutes to see if it would reset my device but it didn't work. Can anyone tell me 1) what the problem is and 2) how to solve it?

Ok is it charged? is it pluged in? if a battery pull did nothing then you may want to take it to tmobile, see if they can fix it. ive never seen this on my screen, you could try a soft reset

I think this means your battery is completely and utterly dead.

Yes that means your phone is completely drained. Let it charge for a few minutes and that screen will go away.

Check the contacts on your bb and battery if they are corroded the battery won't charge correctly they can be cleaned by rubbing them gently with an eraser
