Well i did the upgrade on the phone and my phone has been working decent. The data transfer and voice on it were improved with the newer OS software. Or at least it felt like i was getting better service. I wasn't having to say "Can you hear me now!" **i live in the boonies it seems like when it comes to cell phone service here**

    1. My phone would randomly just reboot after couple days of being on. Then it would go and reboot again on its own when it felt like it.

    2. After these reboots the font would always change back to default font and not on the settings i wants them at. I hate looking at the phone and it seems like the words are jumping out. I use the BB Casual/8pt/Bold/no smoothing... To me this seems like a nice settings for all the apps and still be enough for me to read.

    3. The phone would boot up each time asking me for my KeyStore password. I would enter it in and then it would follow with enter again that was wrong. So kept hitting cancel to it and i was able to get right into the phone and access all apps no problem. Well since my phone would like to reset itself i figured i better figure out this password. That didnt work out so well. The phone ended up wiping itself clean last night (not a big deal i keep daily backups on my hard drive for reasons like this)

What could have caused my phone to not allow the password i was using for keystore not to be the right one and telling me to re enter it and then wipe my phone clean. I do plan on reloading the x.x.x.138 OS before i do any restore of old data back onto the phone.

I think this would make a smart move since i was having problems with it before and in hopes it will fix it.

I have also been looking into these hybrid OS systems. Are these as easy as they look to setup?

Thank you all for the help on this!!

Now when looking at the Device Manager it shows my berry is connected but when opening Desktop Manager it doesn't show my device exists.

I am on the x.x.x.77 during an upgrade it failed out fatal error didn't give a reason. I was trying to go back to x.x.x.138

Finally the upgrade is almost complete this time. Only had to restart my computer 4 times and desktop manager several more times just to see my phone.

I sure hope this is a lot better then it has been the past few days. Soon i think i will become a berry master with all this stuff i have been doing.

Got it back to the x.x.x.138 now. Restored the contacts and other data from one of my daily backups. For now i have to run and get some things taken care of around town. Will see how the phone does rest of today with the complete restore and new install of everything.
