My uptime is 2503719 sec. so 7 digits. I can,t remember the last time i turned my phone off. why should I? apparently it was like a month ago. For update i think.
It's recommended that you power cycle your phone every so often, 1-2 days or so, to keep your phone running smoothly. So, a high number is not really something to brag about. Although, yes, it is somewhat impressive, especially to see the 8100 running for so long... but I bet the phone would run much better if it were restarted.
I'm at 80671 on 5.0.0.93, but I restart my phone alot because I've been making hybrid 5.0's by transferring files back and fourth with JL_Cmder and restarting each time to see it's effect.
I rarely shut this thing off...Mainly because I never know when I'll get a call from the Brass asking if I want to work a couple extra hours or run a transport...The fun of being a Cop :P

Thats just bs. My phone is on for a month now and it runs as smoothly as is ran when it fell out of the box. Booting the 8900 every 1-2 days is totally not necessary. With a window operated phone I would say your right, but not with this blackberry. I think you are also one of those people that think you still have to have your battery run flat before you recharge it.

I agree... If the phone is running smoothly, what's the point of power-cycling it? I only do a battery pull if I'm upgrading the OS, run into a problem, or uninistalling a program that indicates it will be removed when the phone is power-cycled.
Now that doesn't often happen, so I can usually go for weeks without needing to do a battery pull.
