Is this possible? I have a movistar cellphone which I want to upgrade to the latest Orange OS version posted here in this forum. Will it damage my cellphone in anyway? Am I going to have to unlock it?
My gf also has an 8320, but she bought it unlocked off her swedish roommate a long time ago, and she doesn't know the carrier it was locked to. Can we also upgrade this cellphone to the latest orange OS version?
You just remove the Vendor file as descirbed in the million stickies above for upgrading, you dont have to unlock it.
Same with your GF's phone, just look for the device specific OS. Follow the instructions
Using another carriers OS does void the warranty however, but if something happens where you need to replace, I recommend finding the carriers OS that you are on, and just save it on your PC.. dont install.. just save.
