November 5, 2010:
T-Mobile officially released a OS 5.0.0.900 upgrade for the 8900,
however this is only available to T-Mobile customers.
I am an ATT client and want the upgraddde but have tried everything to find a link for the download to no avail. Please, anyone, Help !
I know there must be a way, but how I tried DM, Blackberry Software upgrade, web search, and looked at all available forms. Where are they hiding it and why ? Thanks.
I don't think AT&T has officially sanctioned the use of OS 5, so it's not that AT&T is hiding it, they're just not offering it at all. So unless you want to risk your phone being unstable, and losing access to some AT&T-controlled features, you can't upgrade to OS 5 just yet.
