Hello a freind of mine has an AT&T 8330, he will give me. I have a question about getting it unlocked. Once unlocked will it work with T-Mobile who is my current phone service. Will the Sim card out of my Razor work in it, I didn't know if the smart phones had a different type of card. Also will I have an issue getting a data plan for the 8330 since it is not a phone T-Mobile uses.

    Thanks for any help!

First off its not an 8330. That's a cdma device that won't work on gsm networks like tmo and at&t. Its more than likely an 8310 or 8320. As long as the devie is unlocked and the pin is released for at&t it will be fine.

I didn't think it was the 8330, but that is what my freind said. I think it is the 8320, can you pull the battery to identify the model. Are all of the sim cards the same? I understand the unlock part, is the pin part of the unlock process?
    Thanks

its an 8310 for AT&T and 8320 for tmo. the sim card will work just fine with your new gsm carrier as long as its unlocked
if your friend is giving you a curve 8330 then it will definitely not work on tmo.

It is not a 8330. If it is an AT&T curve though, it will be fine.
