    Hi,

    I am trying to run a software update on my curve. Desktop manager isn't finding any updates, and using the phone to run the update isnt working (Says unable to send request for updates). I am using a mac.

    Are you sure that there is an update available for your device?

    What OS do you have vs the current latest official.

    When you plug the device in and it looks for updates, it just says there are none?

    Do you have access to a Windows based PC?

    when I plug it in, it doesnt even mention looking for updates. I can get access to a windows PC, but it's inconvenient.

    You cannot do it on a Mac.

    Have you DOWNLOADED and INSTALLED the device OS to a Windows based PC and deleted the vendor.xml file?

    I have done official OS updates on my Mac before. You can not load leaks with Macs but officials that are available via DM can be done.

    If it is the latest official for their carrier they wont need to delete the vendor.xml
