I noticed my ring tone changes when the phone is charging. Ive only noticed this just now while charging the phone via usb cable connected to my laptop.

I believe that the CPU is reading your Micro SD and renders anything on it unusable, so if you have purchased or self created ringtones that are stored then the BB uses default memory ringtone.

Correct me if I am wrong, just my 2 cents on what I think is happening.

Ahhhhhhh, I think I figured it out.

Since its charging via laptop, and I have mass storage enabled, access to the media card is denied. And of course the ring tone I have set is on the media card. It will only allow the preloaded ring tones. In which case it defaults to the "T-Jingle".

I wonder if I turned mass storage mode off would it allow itself to access the media card based ring tones.

Just move the ringtone to your device memory and you should be all good.

That sounds like an easy uncomplicated fix. Some of us will manage to mess that up too. Just speaking personally.
