Can you guys help me how to restore or to fix it ?
when i just finished charged the BB, i got noticed if i lost the icon of SMS and MMS, so i can't find it.
after i checked "HIDE" and "SHOW ALL" there's nothing shows.
So, i tried to send sms to another contact, then it succeed but, while i received the message or SMS i got no idea where it go, and there's no notice about the alert message incoming or Flash light.
wow i was gonna say the obvious show all but looks like you tried that, try this go to options withing your messages and go to general options then see where it says email and sms inbox, try seting that to seperate
Yeah you've got emails and SMS combined. Options > General Options >SMS and Email Inboxes > Select either Theme Controlled or Separate. I am using the original 8900 theme which was pre-installed and I have mine set to theme controlled. Hope this helps you out
It should have worked, I tested this out for myself yesterday, when I made them combined I lost the icon for my SMS and MMS when I separated them again I regained the icon. So yes, this should definatley work.
It works. Have done this several times. One point, are you using a theme made with a beta version of plazmic?.
They have some unusual effects on message folders.

i have the SMS icon but when i open it the outbox opens rather than the inbox. I have to go to full menu, open folder and then select the sms inbox. any idea how to change that?
in another thread someone just suggested going into options and selecting "hide sent messages". that may work? I had google maps which made mine run really slow...uninstalled it which required a reset and now the icon opens a combined inbox and sent items. random..

Are you running the 8100 or the 8900? I would suspect that the reset is what fixed the issue you where having with the Google maps it should run fine on either. I had it on my 8120 and on the 8900 and the Google maps program ran without a glitch.
