    You could tether it to your laptop to be able to get Internet access that way, but it won't be wireless

    no, but you can tether it via the usb cable to act as a wired router

    You might as well not even try tethering a 8350i. The Iden network is slower than old fashioned dial-up. Pretty much useless for tethering.
