This might not make sense but here goes. I'm using the BlackBerry L theme. The top part of the screen where the time, date, and signal strength are has a slighly washed out background behind it. It doesn't change the background image you have just washes it out a bit. You can't notice it when you have a light background but with a dark background it looks stupid. Is there any way of getting rid of this different background?

The background is part of the theme, only the theme maker can change it.

i also noticed this same issue recently on my 1 month old sprint 8830. And I don't remember it being this way a few weeks ago.
i appreciate any insight.

it is stick like that, but you can make a new wallpaper with a 50 of the top pixels in black or white to make it easier to read
