I just got an 8300 curve and I wanted to know if there was a GPS chip I could buy so that it would have GPS just like an 8310.
Yea you can buy a GPS puck that connects via bluetooth and then there you have it GPS but there is nothing you could like insert into the phone. The puck is like a key chain just F.Y.I.
P.S. You can also try calling AT&T warranty and saying that something isn't working right and that you went through all the troubleshooting and it's still not working and they may send you an 8310.
Yea, you can try the warranty route, been hit or miss, but most times, ive heard 8310s get sent out.
You can also get a Bluetooth GPS keychain puck, That will be nearly exact coordinates as the internal GPS units i have one one that im not using anymore, so if thats the route you want to go, just PM me..
I have the Freedom Keychain 2000 external GPS puck, purchased from the Crackberry Store. It works very well. Search the forums for Freedom Keychain 2000 and you'll find a lot of references to it.
