I just did get a blackberry. I am have some issues with my email. I have no problem getting email and what not. The problem is that when I get an email I also get a text message saying that I got an email with the subject and what not. It is not really a hindrance, but it is annoying. Is this some setting I am unaware of within the settings or a carrier issue (I have ATT)? The only possible idea I have had is that it has something to do with the carrier and the way my email worked on my old phone (Nokia N series).

Never seen that before. So essentially you are getting 2 separate items regarding the same email?

Are they "Ozmail" messages? If you had mobile email on your old phone, you need put your SIM back in the old phone and delete the email account in the mobile email app.

I have Verizon. And I do not have my old phone. How do I stop these messages? It tells me to reply to the message if I wanted to stop. I tried it but would not work.
