Anyone have any knowledge in this? I have every properly installed and have tried every possible setting I can find and cannot get this to work... It will connect properly, send ten or so packets up and down and stop .. Resend browser request on laptop, sends some more packets, receives a few and ****.. There's gotta be something I'm missing as tetherberry claims it works on the 8350i and I do have data working quite well... Help please!

i can't even get it to work with nextel. it's hard to believe that all i had to do to tether ALL of my old motorola iden phones, was to set up a DUN connection and use S=2. the 8350i is incapable? give me a break.

i'm pretty sure all we need is to get the modem drivers for the 8350i and then we won't need any 3rd party apps to tether.

doesn't matter what value you try. it won't work until the pc can recognize the phone as a modem. need drivers.

Sorry I cannot help with this but I would think the connection speed is just too slow anyways, but if you do succeed let us know how it is!

Of course it will be slow. That is common knowledge. Tethered iden speed is 19.2 kb/s. But it's good enough when you're desperate for a connection. Like in an airport, when you don't want to pay $10 for 30 minutes. It's not high speed, but sometimes it can be a lifesaver. Fast? NO. Free? Yes.

The software is $50, the data transfer is included in Boost's $50/mo unlimited plan. I think scott1966 was talking about the data transfer not costing him anything extra, as it would with Verizon, etc.

Tethered iden speed is 19.2 kb/s.
Is that the maximum data transfer rate on Boost's iden network? Holy toledo that's slow.

It does not matter if its on boosts iden or nextels iden....... Its still iden and there is only one iden network.
