What is the most current OS for VZW 8330?

I was looking at .131 in the sticky and everything says Sprint. I would like to upgrade but don't wand to brick my phone.

I believe Verizon's official release is .77, I have Verizon and am currently running the Spring .131. It runs fine. Just make sure you delete the Vendor.xml file if you try to upgrade.

Although the sticky is a beta, from what I have heard its pretty stable. If you use the proper upgrade procedure found in Tips and How To's in the Newbies area you shouldn't brick your phone. You can find the latest OS by your carrier by visiting your carrier's site to get to blackberry or just go to bleackberry.com > software and download it there. You wil still need to use the proper upgrade procedure, or you could still brick your phone.

The sticky is not a beta. The beta release was a sticky, but it was unstickied after the official release came out.

As a new BB user, should I stick with 4.5.0.77 for a bit longer or try .124? Not sure if I want a beta right now. I wanna play but not that hard. lol

    EDIT:check, .131 not a beta. Thanks

Use .77 till you get comfortable with your BB, or until you get the dreaded speakerphone blast when you receive phone calls.

ok...lets say I went ahead and did the upgrade to .131 and my track ball quit working.

It was working for awhile, I stuck it in my pocket like I always do and now nothing.

Now what? Can I do a restore of one my .77 back-up files or what?

My track ball stopped working after it was in my pocket. Lint got in the track ball. Blew it out and now it works

It's up and running. Cleaned the track ball and pulled the batt for the third time, it's all good.
