I'm having the same problem i'm runing 4.5.0.97 and i'm using Crackmem, and i follow the steps and delete vendor theme ect... but when it checks for updates on desktop manager nothing comes up is there another way or what am i doing wrong?
If you're having troubles, try deleting the old OS from your computer before installing the new one. Also, running the app loader by itself (not from DM) can help if you're having issues.

Does anyone want a bittorrent link for this? If enough people want it, I'll make a quick torrent of the file.

Note to self: Never ever use a beta OS (Windows 7) to update my BlackBerry again.

Rebooted to XP and its updating now.

Just a warning for anyone else that may be running the Windows 7 Beta... I totally spaced it.

I wonder if there's a way to do the update OTA... Probably not. I just don't own a computer right now.

    by apploader, u mean Loader.exe?

Connect your device, and wait for Device Manager to find it. Then close DM

    Then go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and open Loader.exe

Go that route and let me know if it works

Jesus... This update takes a LOT longer than the 4.5.0.97 did!

Also, a quick look through the applications... looks like the MMS rumors are false.

    No, you do not.

I installed the software, ran BB desktop manager, connected my BB for one final sync, it found the software update, I hit options to change what programs to install and selected what I wanted, and it did the backup and update for me... I didn't use crackmem for .97 either. I don't really get the point of it.
