Sprint Curve no "save ringtone"

My wife just signed up on sprint and has the curve. I send mms messages with mp3 sounds to her phone. On mine (Verizon). If I get a sound byte I can click the berries and save ringtone. On hers I cannot seem to. The only option it gives is save voicenote. But I'm sending mp3 to her. Anyone know how to fix this?

If you save as a voice note you can still set it as a ringtone. Also if you are near each other you can pair with bluetooth and send ringtones that way as well. just make sure the receiving one is set to receive ringtone
