    I started installing from the CD that came with my phone. There was a blip and it didn't finish. I've tried install, modify and remove but all fail saying there's an install in progress that must finish first. It is version 4.7 on the CD and I think higher versions are available online. Should I just go for a higher version and forget this or what??? Thanks.

    You can find all version of Desktop Manager using a link in my signature... DM 4.6 is very good and much better than DM 4.7.... or the most recent release is DM 5.0.

    Thanks for the info. I tried 5.0 from the website but it failed with the same error message that the current install must be finished. I can't get anything else to install or this one to uninstall. I guess tomorrow I'll be going to the local tmobile store in hopes they can help me unless someone here can add more enlightenment.

    You may be able to delete the prior install by using the Windows Install Cleanup utility. You can find it @ support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

    Ok... you were attempting to install the software on your PC... if it's still happening... reboot your PC... then try to install it again.

    Shutting down and restarting the computer took care of it. Don't know why I didn't think of that. Thanks for the help!
