Anyone know of a way to count the number of texts that are in your inbox/sent? Not actually count so much as make the 8900 display the actual number of messages?

    thanks.

I have not come across a way to do this other than to count them manually which, I have never done. Why would this be useful?

You also can go to optons-status-database to find out how many you have.

No problem. I'm a real memory fiend which is the only reason I went from the 8820 to the 8900. For me the best part of looking at the database size is it let's me know if and when to do some cleaning to free up some memory.

Glad I could be of service.

I tried this. Cool hidden feature. I noticed a spelling mistake at the very end of the test. It will say "test finisehd". Odd considering the standards on BlackBerrys have been so high.

Lmao. I've used this a dozen times and never noticed that before. Maybe they didn't want to pay for the spell check feature.
